The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter—’tis the difference between the lightning-bug and the lightning.
— Mark Twain

I am a Lighting programmer, technician, and designer. From a young age I was incessantly interested in electronics and computers, and as I grew and developed an interest in the arts I found lighting to be a perfect marriage of the two worlds. I began actually working on theatre in high school running our Stand Palette desk and follow spots, and carried that passion into college graduating with a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Vermont focusing on lighting design, There I had the opportunity to not only solo design but also gain experience as a Production Stage Manager, be an Assistant Designer to our resident Lighting Designer John B. Forbes, and work as a co-designer with other students. In June of 2018 I began attending the Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas, where I gained knowledge in lighting and stage technology from individuals at the forefront of our industry. I think creatively, and love to continue to learn as I work in this amazing field. Outside of school I've worked on minimal-budget event lighting, testing the limits of both 100 dollars and Home Depot.
